Chakradhar meaning
Chakradhar (चक्रधर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Bearer of the wheel or discus; a sovereign
Also used to mean: lord vishnu, bearer of the discus
Chakradhar (चक्रधर) is Sanskrit cakra-dhara, from cakra, "wheel, discus", and dhara, "bearing, holding". Monier-Williams gives it as a wheel-bearer, a sovereign or emperor, and a provincial governor. In devotion the name is taken as a title of Vishnu, who holds the Sudarshana discus, and baby-name lists give it as "bearer of the discus" or Lord Vishnu. The royal sense comes from the same image, since the cakra is also the wheel of a ruler's chariot. Chakradhar Swami, the thirteenth-century founder of the Mahanubhava sect in Maharashtra, is a famous bearer.
