Udita meaning
Udita (उदिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, उ, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Risen, ascended; high, lofty; born, visible
Also used to mean: rising, dawn
Udita (उदिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit udita, "risen, ascended", from ud-i, "to go up", the verb used for the sunrise. Monier-Williams also gives "high, lofty", "grown", "born" and "visible"; a second, unrelated udita, from vad, means "spoken, declared". Name lists give Udita as "risen" or "rising", and often "dawn", which follows the picture of the rising sun. It is the feminine partner of the boys' name Udit, and is also spelled Uditha in the south.
