We haven't confirmed a dictionary meaning for the name itself. The meaning above is how families commonly use it.
Zohaib (زوہیب) is a modern name used in India and Pakistan whose origin is uncertain. Name lists usually connect it with the Arabic dhahab, "gold", and translate it as "golden"; Lane's lexicon does record dhahab, "gold", and the diminutive dhuhayba, a small piece of gold, on which a name Zuhaib could be modelled. But the usual Urdu spelling, with z and a long o, does not match that word, and we found no dictionary that gives Zohaib itself, so we leave the meaning blank. Other lists give "leader" or "talented", which we could not trace.
