Akram meaning
Akram (اکرم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Noblest, most generous; bountiful
Also used to mean: most honourable
Akram (اکرم) is the Arabic akram, the comparative and superlative of karīm, "generous, noble". Steingass's dictionary gives it as noblest or greatest, and as generous, merciful and bountiful. The word appears in one of the earliest revealed passages of the Quran: "Read, for your Lord is the Most Generous" (96:3). Name lists give Akram as "most generous" or "most honourable". It is used by Indian and Pakistani Muslims, on its own and in compounds such as Muhammad Akram.
