Masroor meaning
Masroor (مسرور) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Happy, joyful, glad
Masroor (مسرور) is the Arabic masrūr, from surūr, "joy, gladness". Lane's lexicon defines masrūr simply as happy, joyful or glad. The Quran uses the word in 84:9, describing the person who receives their record in the right hand returning joyfully to their people. Name lists give the meaning as "joyful" or "delighted", matching the dictionary. The same root gives surūr, which Lane defines as happiness, joy or gladness, and masarra, a cause of joy. The name is used by Muslim families in India and Pakistan; Masrur is another spelling.
