Mashkoor meaning
Mashkoor (مشکور) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Thanked, praised, rewarded; worthy of thanks; (Urdu) thankful, grateful
Also used to mean: worthy of praise
Mashkoor (مشکور) is the Arabic mashkūr, the passive participle of shakara, which Lane's lexicon explains as to thank or praise someone for a benefit and to acknowledge their kindness. Platts's Urdu dictionary defines mashkūr as thanked, praised or rewarded, worthy of thanks, and also, in Urdu use, thankful or grateful. The Quran tells the righteous in 76:22 that their striving has been mashkūr, appreciated. Name lists give the meaning as "grateful" or "thankful", which reflects the Urdu sense; the Arabic sense is "one who is thanked".
