Nadeem meaning
Nadeem (ندیم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
A cup-companion; hence any convivial companion
Nadeem (ندیم) is the Arabic nadīm, from the root n-d-m. Lane glosses it first as a companion in drinking, a cup-companion, and then, more widely, as any companion whose company one enjoys. Name lists today give Nadeem as "companion" or "friend", which matches that wider sense. The same root has a verb of quite different meaning, nadima, "he regretted", which Lane records alongside it, but the name carries only the sense of companionship. The word nadīm does not occur in the Quran, and Lane treats this root only in the supplement to his dictionary. Nadim and Nadeem are both spellings of the name used in India and Pakistan.
