Sarim meaning
Sarim (صارم) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Of a sword, sharp and unbending; of a man, hardy, resolute
Also used to mean: brave, decisive
Sarim (صارم) is the Arabic ṣārim, "cutting", from ṣarama, "to cut, to sever". Lane's lexicon gives it above all of a sword, meaning sharp and not bending, and, by likening a man to a sword, hardy, strong and sharp. Name lists give "sharp", "brave" and "decisive", which stay close to these senses. In the Quran the plural describes the owners of a garden who set out at dawn resolved to cut its fruit (68:22), a use Lane also explains under this word.
