Laith meaning
Laith (لیث) is a Muslim and international boy's name of Arabic origin.
The lion; strength; (dialect) eloquent, strong in dispute
Also used to mean: brave
Laith (لیث) is the Arabic layth, "the lion". Lane's lexicon explains al-layth as the lion, said to be named from layth, "strength", and adds that in the dialect of the Hudhayl tribe a layth was a man eloquent and strong in argument. Lane also quotes the Arabic saying that a brave man is more courageous than the lion of ʿIfirrīn. Name lists give the meaning as "lion" or "brave". In Urdu the final letter is pronounced s, so Indian families often write the name Lais. The Egyptian jurist al-Layth ibn Saʿd is a famous bearer.
