Jabir meaning
Jabir (جابر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One who sets a broken bone; figuratively, one who restores
Also used to mean: consoler, comforter
Jabir (جابر) is the Arabic jābir, from the root j-b-r. Lane explains the verb first as setting a broken bone, reducing the fracture and binding it with splints, and then figuratively as restoring a poor man to sufficiency, the poor man being likened to one with a broken bone. Jābir is the one who does this: a bone-setter, a restorer, someone who mends what is broken. Name lists give Jabir as "consoler" or "comforter", a fair extension of that figurative sense. Well-known bearers include Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, a companion of the Prophet who narrated many hadith, and Jābir ibn Ḥayyān, the eighth-century alchemist known in medieval Europe as Geber.
