Wahab meaning
Wahab (وہاب) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One who gives liberally; al-Wahhāb, 'the Bestower', a name of God
Also used to mean: giver, generous
Wahab (وہاب) is the Arabic wahhāb, an intensive form of wāhib, "giver", from wahaba, "to give". Lane's lexicon explains wāhib as one who gives freely, as a gift and not for any return, and wahhāb as one who gives liberally and bountifully; as an epithet of God, al-Wahhāb is He who bestows His gifts on all, continually and without asking anything back. The Quran has the prayer "You are the Bestower", innaka anta l-wahhāb (3:8). Wahab is often a short form of Abdul Wahab, "servant of the Bestower".
