Adila meaning
Adila (عادلہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
One who acts justly and equitably
Also used to mean: fair
Adila (عادلہ) is the feminine of Adil (ʿādil), from the Arabic root ʿ-d-l, the root of ʿadl, "justice". Lane's lexicon explains ʿādil as one who acts equitably, justly or rightly, and notes that ʿadl itself was used as an epithet for a just man or woman. Al-ʿAdl, "the Just", is one of the names of God. Name lists give Adila as "just" or "fair", following the dictionary. Adila is the feminine of the boys' name Aadil.
