Ameen meaning
Ameen (امین) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Trusted, trustworthy, faithful; one entrusted with a charge
Ameen (امین) is the Arabic amīn, from the root ʾ-m-n, which carries the ideas of safety and trust. Lane's lexicon defines it as trusted and trustworthy, faithful, and also as a person entrusted with a charge, such as a trustee or guardian. The Quran calls Gabriel al-rūḥ al-amīn, "the trustworthy spirit" (26:193), and before his mission the Prophet Muhammad was known in Mecca as al-Amīn. The name is a different word from āmīn, the "amen" said after prayers, though the two are often spelt alike in English.
