Amudha meaning
Amudha (அமுதா) is a Tamil girl's name.
Nectar, ambrosia; also sweetness and excellence
Amudha (அமுதா) is a girl's name from Tamil amutam, "nectar", the Tamil form of Sanskrit amṛta, the drink of the gods. The Tamil Lexicon lists a wide family of senses: ambrosia, water, rain, milk, sweetness, boiled rice, final liberation, and in its supplement excellence and the goddess Lakṣmī. In Tamil the word amutu is still used for anything delicious or dearly loved. Name lists give "nectar", matching the dictionary, and the boy's form is Amudhan. P. Amudha, a senior Tamil Nadu IAS officer, carries the name.
