Antariksh meaning
Antariksh (अन्तरिक्ष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
The space between heaven and earth; the atmosphere, sky; the air
Antariksh (अन्तरिक्ष) is Sanskrit antarikṣa, the space between heaven and earth. Monier-Williams explains that in the Veda it is the middle of the three regions of the world, between the earth below and the heavens above, and also gives the atmosphere, the sky and the air. In modern Hindi antariksh is the everyday word for outer space, so the name now carries a sense of exploration as well as of the open sky. Baby-name lists give it as "space" or "sky", matching the dictionary.
