Bindu meaning
Bindu (बिंदु) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A drop, globule, dot, spot; the dot of the anusvara
Bindu (बिंदु) is the Sanskrit word for a drop or a dot. Monier-Williams gives it as "a detached particle, drop, globule, dot, spot", and lists many special uses: a drop of water as a measure, the dot written over a letter for the anusvara nasal, which it notes was held mystically important and linked with Shiva, a zero, and a coloured mark on the forehead between the eyebrows. The Hindi bindī comes from the same word. Baby-name lists give the same meaning, drop or dot. The actress Bindu was a familiar face of Hindi cinema in the 1970s.
