Biswaranjan meaning
Biswaranjan (विश्वरंजन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Odia and Bengali usage).
Compound of viśva, 'all, the whole world', and rañjana, 'pleasing, delighting'
Also used to mean: one who delights the world
Biswaranjan (विश्वरंजन) is a name used mainly in Odisha and also in Bengal. It joins Sanskrit viśva, "all, the whole world", with rañjana, which Monier-Williams gives as "colouring" and also as "pleasing, charming, delighting". The name therefore means "one who delights the world", the sense name lists also give. Odia and Bengali pronounce the Sanskrit v as b, which produces the spelling Biswa-. Names ending in -ranjan, such as Soumyaranjan and Smrutiranjan, are a distinctive feature of Odia naming.
