Etash meaning
Etash (एतश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Vedic). By its first sound, ए, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Shining, brilliant; the dappled horse of the Sun
Also used to mean: radiant
Etash (एतश) is the Vedic word etaśa. Monier-Williams gives it as variegated in colour, shining or brilliant, and as a noun for a dappled horse, above all the horse of the Sun. In the Rigveda Etaśa is also the name of a man whom Indra protects. Name lists give Etash as "shining" or "brilliant", and some link it to Surya, which fits the dictionary's horse of the Sun. It is a rare, old word that has become a modern name.
