We haven't confirmed a dictionary meaning for the name itself.
Gurveen (ਗੁਰਵੀਨ) is a modern Punjabi name used for girls in Sikh families. Its first part is gur, the Guru, the teacher who dispels ignorance, as in Gurleen and Gurpreet; the Mahan Kosh enters the word, and the Guru Granth Sahib uses it from its opening lines, in gur prasād, "by the Guru's grace" (Ang 1). The ending -veen, also found in Harveen and Jasveen, is not a Punjabi word with a recorded meaning, and we found no source that explains how these names were made. We therefore give no dictionary meaning for the whole name, only for its first part.
