Jason meaning
Jason is a Christian and international boy's name of Greek origin.
About to cure; future participle of iaomai, 'to heal'
Also used to mean: healer
Jason is the Greek Iasōn. Strong's Concordance (G2394) explains it as the future participle of iaomai, "to heal", so "about to cure", which name lists shorten to "healer". In Greek legend Jason led the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece. In the New Testament Jason of Thessalonica welcomed Paul into his home and was dragged before the city rulers for it (Acts 17), and a Jason sends greetings at the close of Romans. In Kerala the name is often spelled Jaison, and it is used by Christian families across India.
