Jayalakshmi meaning
Jayalakshmi (जयलक्ष्मी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The goddess of victory; victory
Jayalakshmi (जयलक्ष्मी) combines Sanskrit jaya, "victory", with lakṣmī, a word for good fortune that is also the name of the goddess of wealth. Monier-Williams records jayalakṣmī as the goddess of victory, or victory itself, and notes it as a woman's name in the Kashmiri chronicle Rājataraṅgiṇī. Name lists give the same meaning. It is a close cousin of Vijayalakshmi, which carries the same sense, and is often shortened to Jaya. The name is heard most in South India.
