Kanchan meaning
Kanchan (कंचन) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin, also used for boys.
Gold; wealth; golden
Kanchan (कंचन) is the Hindi form of Sanskrit kāñcana, "gold". Monier-Williams gives gold, money and wealth, the golden filament of the lotus, and as an adjective "golden, made of gold"; the word also names several trees with yellow flowers, such as the champak. Name lists give "gold" or "golden", matching the dictionary. The longer Kanchana is used in South India, and Kanchan across the North. It is mostly given to girls, though some boys carry it too.
