Mamoon meaning
Mamoon (مامون) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Trusted, confided in; trustworthy, faithful
Mamoon (مامون) is the Arabic maʾmūn, from the root ʾ-m-n of amn, "safety", and amāna, "trust". Lane's lexicon gives maʾmūn as equivalent to amīn: trusted and confided in, a person to whom a charge is entrusted, trusty, trustworthy and faithful. The best-known bearer is al-Maʾmūn (786–833), the Abbasid caliph who supported the translation of Greek learning into Arabic in Baghdad. Name lists give the meaning as "trustworthy" or "reliable", matching the dictionary. It is also spelled Mamun.
