Badruddin meaning
Badruddin (بدرالدین) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Full moon of the faith (badr, full moon + dīn, religion)
Badruddin (بدرالدین) joins two Arabic words. Badr is the full moon, which Lane's lexicon describes as the moon on its fourteenth night, and dīn is explained there as obedience and hence religion, the way in which a person serves God. Badr al-Dīn, "full moon of the faith", began as an honorific title in the medieval Islamic world and became a given name; name lists give the same meaning. In India it is remembered through Badruddin Tyabji (1844–1906), the Bombay lawyer and judge who presided over the third session of the Indian National Congress in 1887.
