Izhar meaning
Izhar (اظہار) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Making manifest, showing, revealing; expression
Also used to mean: manifestation
Izhar (اظہار) is Arabic iẓhār, from aẓhara, "to make plain", in the root ẓ-h-r, "to appear". Lane's lexicon defines aẓhara as making something visible, open or plain, and showing or revealing it; the same root gives ẓuhr, midday, when the sun is plainest. In Urdu iẓhār means expression, as in iẓhār-e khayāl, "expression of thought", and in Quran recitation it is the rule of sounding a letter clearly. Name lists give "expression" or "manifestation", which matches. It is used alone and in Izharul Haq.
