Nakul meaning
Nakul (नकुल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A mongoose; name of a Pāṇḍava prince, Sahadeva's twin
Nakul (नकुल) is Sanskrit nakula, the mongoose, and the name of the fourth of the five Pāṇḍava brothers of the Mahābhārata. Nakula and his twin Sahadeva were the sons of Mādrī, the second wife of King Pāṇḍu, born through the twin gods called the Aśvins. The epic praises Nakula as the handsomest man of his line and a master of the sword and of horses; when the brothers lived in disguise at King Virāṭa's court, he offered his services as an expert in training and healing horses. Monier-Williams also lists nakula as a name of Shiva and, from the lexicographers, as "a son". Name lists give "mongoose" and the Pāṇḍava prince, as the dictionary does.
