Nimish meaning
Nimish (निमिष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The twinkling of an eye; a moment
Nimish (निमिष) is Sanskrit nimiṣa, the shutting or twinkling of the eye, and so the smallest everyday measure of time, "a moment". Monier-Williams cites it from the Mahabharata and Ramayana, and also records Nimisha as the name of a son of Garuda and, in the old lexicons, of Vishnu. Name lists give "moment" or "twinkling of an eye", matching the dictionary. Nimish is very close to Nimesh, from the related word nimeṣa with the same meaning, and Nimisha is the girls' form.
