Pinaki meaning
Pinaki (पिनाकी) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Armed with the bow Pināka: a name of Shiva
Pinaki (पिनाकी, Bengali পিনাকী) is the Sanskrit pinākin in its nominative form, pinākī. Pināka is the bow, or by some accounts the spear, of Rudra-Śiva, and Monier-Williams gives pinākin, "armed with the Pināka", as a name of Śiva and of one of the eleven Rudras, citing the Mahābhārata, the Harivaṃśa and the Rāmāyaṇa. The name is used in Bengal and Odisha. Well-known bearers include Pinaki Chandra Ghose, a former judge of the Supreme Court of India who became the country's first Lokpal.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
