Devarsh meaning
Devarsh (देवर्ष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, दे, it is a Meen rashi name (Revati nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A divine sage, a sage of the celestial class
Devarsh (देवर्ष) is a modern form of devarṣi, which joins deva, "god", and ṛṣi, "sage, seer". Monier-Williams explains devarṣi as a sage of the celestial class, giving Nārada and Atri as examples, and also records it as an epithet of Śiva. In Hindu stories Nārada is the devarṣi above all, the wandering sage who carries news between gods and humans with his vīṇā. Indian name lists give Devarsh as "divine sage", which matches the source. The shortened form is used in Gujarat and North India; the full form Devarshi is also used.
