Vaidik meaning
Vaidik (वैदिक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Relating to the Veda, Vedic; versed in the Veda
Also used to mean: related to the Vedas, learned
Vaidik (वैदिक) is the Sanskrit vaidika, the adjective formed from veda, the name of the oldest Hindu scriptures and itself a word for knowledge. Monier-Williams gives vaidika as relating to the Veda, derived from or prescribed in it, and knowing the Veda; used as a noun it means a Brahman who is learned in the Vedas. In Hindi the same word is the ordinary term for "Vedic", as in vaidik kaal, the Vedic age. Name lists give it as "related to the Vedas" or "learned", which matches the dictionary. It sits beside Ved, Vedant and Vedansh.
