Vaishakh meaning
Vaishakh (वैशाख) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
The lunar month Vaiśākha (April–May); also a churning-stick
Also used to mean: born in the month of Vaishakh, auspicious month
Vaishakh (वैशाख) is the Sanskrit vaiśākha, the name of one of the twelve months of the Hindu lunar year, falling roughly in April and May; Monier-Williams notes that in some places the year begins with it. The month gives its name to the harvest festival Baisakhi, and its full-moon day, which Monier-Williams records as vaiśākhī, is kept by Buddhists as Buddha Purnima. Monier-Williams also records vaiśākha as a churning-stick and a stance used in archery. Name lists give the name as "born in the month of Vaishakh". It is used in Kerala, where it is also spelled Vysakh or Vaisakh.
