Prerit meaning
Prerit (प्रेरित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Urged, impelled, sent; directed
Also used to mean: inspired, motivated
Prerit (प्रेरित) is the Sanskrit prerita, the past participle of a verb meaning "to set in motion". Monier-Williams gives it as "urged, impelled, dispatched, sent", and also "directed" or "incited to speak". In modern Hindi prerit means "inspired, motivated", and the related prernā, "inspiration", is a familiar word and girls' name. Name lists give Prerit as "inspired" or "the inspired one", a natural modern reading of the old sense of being moved to act.
