Prerak meaning
Prerak (प्रेरक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Setting in motion, urging, dispatching, sending
Also used to mean: inspirer, motivator
Prerak (प्रेरक) is the Sanskrit preraka, from pra-īr, "to set in motion, to urge on". Monier-Williams gives it as setting in motion, urging, dispatching and sending. In Hindi the same word means inspiring or motivating, as in a prerak kathā, an inspiring story, and it is closely related to preraṇā, "inspiration", the source of the girls' name Prerna. Name lists give "inspirer" or "motivator", which grows naturally out of the dictionary sense of urging someone on.
