Rutuja meaning
Rutuja (ऋतुजा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Marathi usage).
Born of the season (ṛtu, "season" + -jā, "born of")
Also used to mean: born of the seasons
Rutuja (ऋतुजा) joins two Sanskrit words. Ṛtu is a fixed or appointed time and, in later texts, one of the six seasons of the year; Monier-Williams also gives it the senses of order and of light or splendour. The ending -ja means "born of" or "produced by", as in many compound names. Together they give the meaning name lists use, "born of the seasons". The compound is not listed in the dictionary, so it is a later formation. The spelling with "ru" reflects the Marathi pronunciation of ऋ, and the name is used mainly in Maharashtra.
