Saanjh meaning
Saanjh (ਸਾਂਝ) is a Sikh girl's name of Punjabi origin.
Sharing, partnership, togetherness; also evening, dusk
Also used to mean: twilight
Saanjh (ਸਾਂਝ) is an everyday Punjabi word that has become a girls' name. The Mahan Kosh gives it two senses. The first is union and partnership, a shared bond or a share in something, the sense in which Punjabis speak of the saanjh between families; the Guru Granth Sahib uses it for partnership at Ang 1141. The second, from Sanskrit sandhyā, is evening or twilight, and by extension the evening of life (Ang 794). Name lists give "evening" or "twilight", and some add "togetherness". It is a modern name in Sikh families.
