Sarthak meaning
Sarthak (सार्थक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, सा, it is a Kumbh rashi name (Shatabhisha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Meaningful, significant; useful
Sarthak (सार्थक) is the Sanskrit sārthaka, "having meaning", built on artha, "meaning, aim, purpose". Monier-Williams glosses it as significant or important, citing works on phonetics and poetics, and as serviceable, useful or advantageous, citing the Bhāgavata Purāṇa and the Pañcarātra. So it describes something that has both meaning and use. Name lists give the same sense, "meaningful", "significant" or "fulfilled". In Hindi the word is still in everyday use for anything worthwhile or fruitful, as when an effort is called sārthak. The name is given to boys in Hindu families and is also spelled Saarthak.
