Subhadra meaning
Subhadra (सुभद्रा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Very auspicious, glorious; Krishna's younger sister, wife of Arjuna
Subhadra (सुभद्रा) joins su-, "very, good", with bhadra, "auspicious, fortunate, splendid". Monier-Williams glosses the adjective subhadra as "very glorious or splendid or auspicious". In the Mahabharata Subhadra is Krishna's younger sister, who married Arjuna and was the mother of Abhimanyu. Monier-Williams also notes that her image is carried in procession with those of Jagannatha and Balarama, as it still is at the Rath Yatra in Puri. Name lists give "auspicious" or "glorious". The name is used in Odisha.
