Indrani meaning
Indrani (इंद्राणी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The wife of Indra; also a name of Durga
Indrani (इंद्राणी, Bengali ইন্দ্রাণী) is the feminine of Indra, king of the gods, and means Indra's wife. Monier-Williams traces the word to the Rig Veda and Atharva Veda, where Indrāṇī is a goddess in her own right, and notes that later texts also use it as a name of Durgā, one of the eight divine mothers or mātṛkās. In the Puranas she is better known as Śacī. The name is used across India, including Bengal and Assam.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
