Indu meaning
Indu (इन्दु) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
A drop, especially of Soma; the moon; moonlight
Indu (इन्दु) is one of the oldest Sanskrit words for the moon. Monier-Williams gives it first as a drop, especially a drop of Soma, the sacred drink of the Vedas, and as a bright drop or spark, and then as the moon itself and moonlight; it also stands for camphor and for the number one. Many names are built on it, such as Indumati, Indulekha and Induja. Name lists give Indu as "moon", which matches the dictionary. It is a girls' name used across India.
