Zameer meaning
Zameer (ضمیر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
The heart or mind; inmost thoughts; in Urdu also conscience
Zameer (ضمیر) is the Arabic ḍamīr, from aḍmara, "to conceal something in the heart"; Urdu pronounces the first letter as z. Lane's lexicon defines it as whatever one conceals or resolves upon in the heart or mind, a secret, and, as al-ḍamīr, the heart or mind itself, its inmost recesses and secret thoughts, the soul; grammarians also use it for a pronoun, "a concealed noun". Platts's Urdu dictionary adds thought, reflection and conscience, which is how name lists translate it. It is unrelated to the Hebrew name Zamir, "nightingale".
