Aparupa meaning
Aparupa (अपरूपा) is a Hindu girl's name of Bengali origin (from Sanskrit). By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Unprecedented, incomparably beautiful; wonderful, amazing
Aparupa (अपरूपा, Bengali অপরূপা) is a Bengali name meaning wonderfully, incomparably beautiful. The Samsad Bengali–English Dictionary gives aparūpa as unprecedented, incomparably beautiful, wonderful and amazing, and it is a much-loved word in Bengali songs and poetry. Curiously, the Sanskrit apa-rūpa that Monier-Williams records means almost the opposite: deformity, or deformed and odd-shaped. In Bengali the word has come to mean beauty of a kind never seen before, and that is the sense parents intend, although the Samsad entry still lists strange, odd and ugly among its later senses.
