Atul meaning
Atul (अतुल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Unequalled, unrivalled
Also used to mean: incomparable, matchless
Atul (अतुल) is the Sanskrit atula, from a-, "not", and tulā, "a balance, a scale": something that cannot be weighed against anything else. Monier-Williams gives it as unequalled or unrivalled, and also records it, in the literal sense "without weight", as a name for the sesame plant. The same idea gives the Hindi word atulya, "incomparable". Name lists give Atul as "incomparable" or "matchless", matching the dictionary. The name is used across India, and is spelled Athul in Kerala.
