Aziel meaning
Aziel is an international and Christian boy's name of Hebrew origin.
Strengthened of God
Also used to mean: God is my strength, strength of God
Aziel is a Hebrew name that appears once in the Bible, in 1 Chronicles 15:20, for one of the Levite musicians who played the harp when King David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. Strong's Concordance builds the name from ʿuz, "to be strong", and El, "God", and translates it "strengthened of God". Some manuscripts spell the same man's name Jaaziel. Name lists usually give "God is my strength", which is close to the dictionary sense. It is said AY-zee-el or ah-zee-EL, and its sound is easy in Indian languages.
