Benazir meaning
Benazir (بے نظیر) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Incomparable, matchless, without equal
Also used to mean: unique
Benazir is the Urdu and Persian compound be-naz̤īr, 'without equal'. It joins the Persian prefix be-, 'without', to the Arabic word naz̤īr, which Steingass defines as alike, resembling or equal to. Platts's dictionary of Urdu lists be-naz̤īr as 'incomparable', alongside its synonyms be-badal and lā-s̤ānī, both meaning 'without a second'. As a name it is best known from Benazir Bhutto (1953–2007), who twice served as prime minister of Pakistan and was the first woman elected to head a democratic government in a Muslim-majority country. Baby-name lists give 'matchless' or 'unique', the dictionary sense.
