Dattatreya meaning
Dattatreya (दत्तात्रेय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A sage, son of Atri and Anasuya, worshipped as the Trinity
Also used to mean: given by the gods, Trinity-incarnation
Dattatreya (दत्तात्रेय) is the name of a sage and deity. Monier-Williams describes him as the son of the sage Atri and his wife Anasūyā, and records the Bhāgavata-purāṇa story in which Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Śiva, pleased by Atri's penance, are born as his sons, so that Dattātreya is worshipped as representing all three. The name joins datta, "given", with ātreya, "son of Atri": the child given to Atri. Dattatreya is worshipped especially in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, where the name is often shortened to Datta or Dattu.
