Flavia meaning
Flavia is a Christian girl's name of Latin origin.
Golden yellow, flaxen; from Latin flavus via the name Flavius
Also used to mean: blonde
Flavia is the feminine of Flavius, the family name of the Roman emperors Vespasian, Titus and Domitian, and later of Constantine's dynasty. It is usually traced to Latin flavus, which Lewis & Short define as golden yellow or flaxen, the colour of gold, ripe corn and fair hair, so name lists give it as 'golden'. Several early saints bore the name. In India Flavia is used chiefly by Catholic families in Mumbai, Goa and Mangalore; a well-known bearer is the Mumbai women's rights lawyer Flavia Agnes.
