Havisha meaning
Havisha (हविषा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
From havis, "oblation, offering made into the sacred fire"
Also used to mean: Lakshmi
Havisha (हविषा) is a modern girls' name built on Sanskrit havis, which takes the form haviṣ- before some endings. Monier-Williams gives havis as an oblation or burnt offering, anything poured into the sacred fire, such as ghee, milk, Soma or grain; a Vedic commentary also gives it the sense of water. Name lists usually give Havisha as "offering", which follows the root, and some add Lakshmi, a devotional association we could not trace in the dictionaries. The boys' name Havish comes from the same word.
