Dikshita meaning
Dikshita (दीक्षिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, दी, it is a Meen rashi name (Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Consecrated, initiated; prepared, ready
Also used to mean: learned
Dikshita (दीक्षिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit dīkṣita, the past participle of dīkṣ, "to consecrate", and a cousin of dīkṣā, "initiation", the name Deeksha. Monier-Williams gives dīkṣita as consecrated or initiated into a rite, and as prepared or ready for something. As a masculine noun dīkṣita was a title added to the name of a learned Brahman, as in Bhaṭṭoji Dīkṣita, the great grammarian, and it is the source of the surname Dikshit or Dixit. Name lists give "initiated", "consecrated" or "learned".
