Aastha meaning
Aastha (आस्था) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Regard, care; confidence, hope; support
Also used to mean: faith, belief, trust
Aastha (आस्था) is the Sanskrit āsthā, from ā-sthā, "to stand on" or "to rely on". Monier-Williams lists its senses as consideration, regard and care, assent and promise, confidence and hope, and a prop or support. In modern Hindi, āsthā has settled into the meaning of faith, belief or devotion, the trust one stands on. Name lists give "faith" or "belief", which grows naturally from the dictionary's "confidence". Aastha is used across North India and is also spelled Astha.
