Ashrita meaning
Ashrita (आश्रिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
One who has taken refuge; sheltered, dependent
Also used to mean: protected by God
Ashrita (आश्रिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit āśrita, which Monier-Williams defines as having recourse to something as a retreat or asylum, depending on, and taken or sought as a refuge. It comes from ā-śri, "to lean on" or "to take shelter", the root of āśraya, "shelter". In devotional use the word describes someone who has taken refuge in God, and name lists give "protected by God" or "one who has taken refuge". Ashritha is a South Indian spelling.
